Imogen Heap- February 12th Junction Cambridge

Woweee!!!! She was absolutely incredible. Everything I wanted her to be and more!

It was one of those gigs where you think to yourself, 'this is what music is about.' And I think the rest of the crowd did too!

Imogen was really chatty and funny too and what I loved was that she came out to introduce the support acts and got them on stage with her during her performance to make awe-inspiring music!

Then when it came to Hide and Seek, there wasn't a camera phone in sight. No one was muttering to their friends or singing along (apart from the bit where she got us to sing back up), it was like respect to the song. I've only ever experienced that once before when Regina Spektor performed 'Samson.' Imogen's music is so emotional anyway, but to hear and see it live was a rare musical experience that I will remember for years to come. I'd hate to be the gig I go to next as that's a tough act to follow!

The Fleurettes, July 2009, The Fleur in Cambridge

Well I am slightly biased as Nicholette Patch is my cousin. But they're still absolutely brilliant! If you ever get a chance to see these girls don't ever pass it up!

Pussycat Dolls, July 2009 Newmarket Racecourse

It was raining like crap. My friend and I decided to go after they sang Jai Ho...which ended up being the encore! But they didn't disappoint. I'm not their hugest fan but even I had a swell time. Those girls sure know how to put on a show, even with one girl down! They even remembered where they were and shouted NEWMARKET after almost every song!

La Roux, Bestival Sept 2009, Isle of White

Didn't get a picture because the stoopid people that organised the festival had it so she was on 10 mins after Kraftwerk the headliners in the only enclosed space with an actual capacity limit. This meant that I had to watch her on the screen outside. And the screen kept freezing. So I decided to just go to bed. But fear not, I'm going to see her in April!

Kitty, Daisy and Lewis, Bestival Sept 2009, Isle of White

Quite crap actually. I was looking forward to seeing these guys all weekend and when they came on the lead girl was in the biggest mood with the sound guy and kept having a go at him after every song. Kind of made the atmosphere a bit rubbish really.
But Lewis was fantastic!

Goldie Lookin' Chain, Sept 2009, Bestival, Isle of White

To be fair I only saw them because I was waiting for Mika to come on! They were very entertaining and got us to help them sing their single 'I need it, by any means necessary'

XO Man- Bestival, Sept 2009, Isle of White

Xo Man was very tall. He was also very charming and I'm glad I saw him because I originally went to the Jim Beam stage to see Tommy Sparks but they'd overran so I saw them instead!
I used to go to school with Neal, the bass player so said hi after! The songs were awesome and they got the audience on their backs peddling air cycles so they must be good!
